Czech version of the CV

She specializes in research of the economic history of the United States of America and Germany in the 20th century, focusing on the 1920s and 1930s. Other areas of interest include monetary and fiscal policy, business cycle issues, and the history of economic thought.

In 2007, she successfully finished her master’s degree in National Economy at the Faculty of Economics, Prague University of Economics and Business and was awarded the Ing. degree. Major: Economic Policy, Minor: History of Economic Theories. She successfully defended her master’s thesis The Great Depression in Germany. In 2017, she successfully completed her Ph.D. study in Economic Policy at the Department of Economic History, Faculty of Economics, Prague University of Economics and Business and was awarded a Ph.D. degree. In her dissertation she dealt with the topic of Economic Policy of the United States of America and Germany 1933-1939.

Since the start of her Ph.D. studies in 2007, she has also taught at the Department of Economic History, Faculty of Economics, Prague University of Economics and Business. From 2007-2011, she worked as an Analyst at the Macroeconomic Analysis Department of the Czech Statistical Office in Prague. In 2010 she taught microeconomics courses at the University of Business in Prague. Since February 2012 she has worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economic History.

In 2010 she received a scholarship from the University of Economics to finance long-term study and research stay for Ph.D. students. In 2010 and 2011 she underwent a research stay at the Department of Economics, Sam M. Walton College of Business, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Arkansas, United States of America. From 2007-2016 she completed several short-term research stays at the Bundesarchiv Berlin-Lichterfelde and the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin.

She is a member of renowned academic societies The American Economic Association (United States), The Economic History Society (United Kingdom), The Economic History Association (United States), The Economic and Business History Society (United States), The American History Association (United States), and The Czech Economic Society (Czech Republic).

She is an author or co-author of 2 research books, 2 original studies in impact-factor journals, 10 original papers in scientific (peer-reviewed) journals. She contributed into 12 collective monographs, participated in preparation of several study materials. She has published 11 research reports and 1 book review. She regularly participates in research grants and projects not only of the Internal Grant Agency of Prague University of Economics and Business, but also of the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic and other institutions.

In 2018 she received the University of Economics Rector’s Prize for the Prestigious Publication – the category of book publications – for her scientific book Economic Policy of the United States of America and Germany 1933-1939. In 2012 she was awarded  the University of Economics Rector’s Prize for the Scientific Publication Activities of Ph.D. Students for 2012 for her contribution to the research article Changes in the Financial System in the Context of Šik’s Economic Reform in Czechoslovakia in the Second Half of the 1960s.
